Most people learn how to draw cars as one of the first things they learn in their academic years. Use these skills to design a realistic car with as much detail and customization as you wish. Drawing a car can be as easy as drawing a car you see on the street or imagining one you would like to draw. Play around with cartoon cars as an alternative to realism. Draw a fun and easy car by exaggerating its features and keeping the shapes simple.
We’ve prepared this guide to show you how to draw a great variety of cars along with simple, step-by-step instructions to help guide you through the process. Have fun.
Create a horizontal line with two circles on either side of it. On the bottom half of the drawing paper, draw a horizontal line using a scale. On the lines that you draw, draw two circles. Those circles will be the wheels that move you forward!
Inside the wheels, create smaller circles. On the inside of the car wheels, draw another circle, like below. On the inside of the wheels is a section called the barrel.
In the third row of circles, draw the third set of overlapping circles. Within the center of each overlapping circle, make a small circle. In the beginning, it might seem as if your drawing is a scary face, but once you see it for real, you will realize it is your car. Our goal here is to make it as easy as possible for you. In addition to the little circles on the top, you will find the center caps as well.
The innermost circle should be the starting point for the lines. Now, on each wheel, we will draw five equally spaced lines from the very innermost circle to the outermost circle. The spokes of the wheels are formed by these lines. It’s up to you whether you choose to draw these lines using your scale or going freehand.
Two horizontal lines should connect the wheels. You now have two horizontal lines connecting the wheels. The scale can also be used here. That will be the car’s base. We would like to ask you, though, are we alone in seeing the drawing as a pair of glasses on a couple of eyes?
The wheels should be divided into two rectangles. Please see the figure below for instructions on drawing the two rectangles that extend from each wheel.
Create a sketch of the car’s body. Start by drawing a curved line from the left side of the drawing paper up into the rectangle’s top-left corner. Stop just above where the wheel ends on the right. From the end of the rectangle on the right-hand side, draw another concave line on the right-hand side until it intersects with the first line. Next, draw a semi-circle at the top between the first two curves, up until the end of the first wheel.
The front and backlights of the car should be drawn. Adding a car door and a headlight is a next step. To do this, you need to draw two slight curves in the middle of the car, as shown in the following picture. You can add a rectangle for the handle next to the second line. The door is now complete! It’s even easier to draw the car’s headlights! On the car’s hood, just draw an oval.
Using two quadrants, draw the window. Now draw two quadrants for your car’s windows. One should be large, the other small. Lines need not be straightened with the scale, but you can use it if you want. Draw them like those shown in the picture.
Put some paint on it! You have done an excellent job with your car. The only thing left to do is to pick your favorite colors and paint your car!
Step 1 :
Two wheels should be drawn.
Step 2 :
Add a line between the circles.
Step 3 :
Make a sketch of the front and rear bumpers.
Step 4 :
Make a sketch of the car’s body.
Step 5 :
Windows should be added to the front and back.
Step 6 :
Draw two sidelights and two windows on the right.
Step 7 :
Wheels should be surrounded by bumpers.
Step 8 :
Identify the road and the background by drawing them.
Step 9 :
Use a marker to trace the outline and color it on.
The car you want to draw is made up of a thin rectangle. Simply draw a rectangle with a sharp pencil on your paper. You don’t need to make the rectangle 3-dimensional unless you’d like to draw the car in 2 point perspective.
Draw another rectangle on top of the long rectangle. Since this will be the cab of the car, you can make it any size you like. You can also decide if you’d like it to be centered, as if you’re drawing a standard sedan, or positioned near the car’s rear. The top rectangle should touch the bottom rectangle.
Draw the outline of Car’s body over the rectangles. Make the rectangles look like the outline of your car so that it does not appear too boxy.
Your car’s body will be curved when you remove the sharp edges. You will only see your outline when you remove the sharp edges. This outline should now match the style of your car.
The cab will have two windows created by drawing two curved rectangles. Draw both the windows inside the cab of most cars since there are two windows. Create a vertical line between the two windows and then separate them.
Make the windows and frame of the cab more detailed. To make the window lines look more realistic, add two thin vertical lines. The top of the window may also be curved if it meets the frame at the rear. In this case, there will be a triangular window.
A large rectangle can be divided into two circles at the bottom. To make the wheels look attached to the frame, you have to pass the bottom line of the rectangle through each circle halfway between the center and bottom. You should be able to tell the front and rear wheels apart by a couple of feet.
On the body of a car should be headlights and taillights. The headlights should be carved into the vehicle’s frame in the shape of an oval or circle. Depending on what type of vehicle you are drawing, the size of the lights can vary greatly.
Please fill out all the information about the car. Make a decision whether or not you want bumpers on each of your car’s wheels. Adding distinct side-view mirrors is another option. A window frame usually has an oval corner when it meets the corner of the window. Make a sketch of the stripes or decals you want on your car’s body.
If you like, you can erase excess lines and colors. Retrace your lines or erase smoothed-out areas on your car. Your car will look better this way. If you want to color it, you can use colored pencils or markers.
Finish your drawing car by adding eye-popping color. You can follow reference image or any color as your wish.
A medium-length line can be drawn from the center of a small circle.
The circle you just drew should now be connected to the line you already drew by drawing another circle.
In the center of each circle, you will make two smaller circles. Furthermore, draw two lines on each side of the wheel.
After tracing the black line over the first wheel, the next step is to trace the first wheel over the next wheel.
You can add more detail to the car by closing the lines with rectangles on the ends.
You can make sure your lines are connected with the help of the left-to-right line across the car. Here is an illustration of what you should do.
Creating the car’s hood is now as simple as making a smaller shape on top of the car’s body part.
Draw out the little windows of the car inside and the doors on the outside.
The details can now be added. The steering wheel should be circled. The car’s handle must be included. Headlights and taillights should also be included.
Your vehicle can now be colored however you want.
On the bottom portion of the paper, draw two small circles. Your car wheels will be outlined in these circles. Freehand circles are not as hard as they seem! If you want to draw a perfect circle quickly and easily, you can use a compass.
Step 2 :
Create a drawing of the car’s wheels. In the previous step, we drew two small circles around the larger circles. By the time you’ve finished drawing the circles, you should have the shape of a pair of wheels. You should also make sure the wheels are about an inch apart.
Step 3 :
Bumpers should be attached to wheels. The chain connecting both wheels should be long and narrow. Ensure that the bumper is as long as you want your car to be because that will be its core.
Step 4 :
Create a rough outline of the car’s body. Structure the outline of the car’s body by drawing downward curving lines up to the bumper. Essentially, the outline consists of two downward curved lines: a small curved line representing the hood that connects to a larger curve representing the roof.
Step 5 :
Create a window for the front door. Draw a curved line parallel to the roof’s outline on the left side of the roof. Using a 90-degree angle to the left of the curved line, connect the two ends of the line.
Step 6 :
The next thing we need to do is draw the window on the back door. To create two equal and proportionate car windows, repeat the previous step. It is necessary to have the front window larger than the rear window.
Step 7 :
Next, draw a door outline. Under the front window, draw a square shape with rounded corners to serve as the front door. Align the front window and door so that they are even and straight.
Step 8 :
The door handle and the lights should be drawn. To make the car seem more realistic, we must add details. The headlights and taillights of the car can be created by drawing half circles on the ends of the vehicle. They should be positioned just below the bumper.
Step 9 :
The car windows can be decorated with patterns. The reflective properties of the windows cause diagonal patterns to appear. To create the illusion of a reflection, draw parallel diagonal lines across each car window. Your car drawing has been successful, so now it’s time to color it! Let’s make it vibrant and colorful by choosing the appropriate colors!
You can learn to draw cars in various ways: from a big and tough semi-truck to a lean and fast sports car. Drawing is a relaxing method of expressing yourself, and it isn’t as difficult as you think it is. Every object can be deconstructed into smaller parts, which is one of the secrets of drawing. Our goal is to provide you with step-by-step instructions so that you can draw your desired illustration.
Using colored pencils, crayons, or markers, you can add color to your drawing. Depending on how many pictures you have, you may want to cut them out, and tape or glue them to a colored construction on paper. Then, you will be the proud owner of a collection of exciting cars that have been exhibited as a work of art.
