Review Of The Top 3 best Food Processor (s)

#1: KitchenAid KFP1333CU 13-Cup Food Processor with ExactSlice System

buy best food processor

I still lucidly remember the date when Clarice stormed into my kitchen and made fun of me. It was a cold, chilly Thursday morning. 11.15 A.M to be exact. That night, it had snowed heavily. I was in my kitchen trying to prepare lunch for the family. Our old food processor had broken down two weeks ago. During those two weeks, I was manually doing the chopping, dicing etc. It was no different this time. I was chopping onions. You know what happens when you chop onions. They release a gas called Propanethiol S-oxide. When this gas mixes with certain enzymes in the onion, it creates another sulfur gas.

These gases then get to your eyes and create a mild acid which irritates the eyes. In order for the eyes to protect themselves, they start releasing tears, wracking your face with pearl-shaped tears rolling down your cheeks and a watery nose. If you have ever chopped onions manually, you have experienced this. The point where your eyes irritate and you can no longer control your breath, and choke on the air that you inhale, like a child trying to hold back tears. My friend describes it as “crying over cut onions”

It was at that “crying” moment when Clarice, who is my next door neighbor and friend since college, stormed into my kitchen. Now, Clarice is a Witty and self-deprecating Person. She will say jokes that makes herself look bad while they are actually intended at you. But her jokes are usually smart and she is quick with them. She always has a joke for all situations.

Before I could even notice her, I just heard her say “Oh dear, someone is crying over her onions” “I should have bought the KitchenAid Food Processor that my friend Clarice has, but I am also proud to borrow from her”.

How She introduced me to What TURNS out to be the best food processor ever

Without asking, she rushed out the kitchen. Moments later, she came back holding her full set KitchenAid Food Processor for me to use. Being the proud person I am, I first refused but she always finds a way to assert her will. So she started using it to help me out.

Oh God, I had never seen it in action but this beast of a machine was wonderful. Despite the fact that she had been with it for close to three years, with daily usage, it still looked perfect. The speed at which it cut through the food was amazing. It was a little bit noisier than my Cuisinart processor, but the difference in the speed of the motors was noticeable. It was also more thorough in kneading small amounts of bread dough and doing other basic tasks such as chopping, pureeing, slicing, shredding, etc. Also it’s work bowl cover was easier to put on and take off. To cut the story short, I fell in love with this food processor and found it better than my Cuisinart. That is why I am making it number one best food processor.

After the preparations and cooking she proudly went on to explain to me the details of the best food processor (in her words- which I agree with). She knew all the technical specifications that I didn’t even deem important.

Hers’ was the KitchenAid KFP1333CU model with a capacity of 13-Cup. On Amazon, it is the KitchenAid KFP1333CU 13-Cup Food Processor with ExactSlice System. It is available in white, brushed chrome, contour silver, empire red, liquid graphite and Onyx black.

Clarice told me that 13-cups was very important. Compared to the 11-cup, 9 or 7-cups, a 13-cup capacity provides that extra headroom especially when you are doing big jobs. So you would not have to do the preparations in batches.

If you are working with smaller recipes, this kitchen appliance also comes with a 4-cup “mini-bowl” insert, which is convenient for smaller recipes, too.

Beautifully Designed

This baby is also beautiful in design with a silver finish featuring a work bowl that’s BPA – free.  The food processor is big enough but not so heavy. It is 11.8 inches long, 10.9 wide, and 16.6 high and weighs only 18 pounds.

The instructions/user manual that comes with it are very comprehensive and easy to understand. With the manual, you will go through your initial assembly of the machine without a hitch. The instructions for all additional attachments are also easy and comprehensive. So you will have no problems getting it to work.

It has an ultra-wide mouth feed tube which makes it easy for you to load many foods such as tomatoes, cucumbers, and potatoes etc. with minimal prep work required.

The ExactSlice System allows for precise slicing and accuracy for all kinds of food – hard or soft, large or small. With this system, you can change the thickness of the slices on-the-fly. You can infinitely adjust the thickness from paper thin to relatively thick without having to open the bowl. It is externally adjustable just by sliding a lever.  You can even adjust it while it’s running. How cool is that? Other typical food processors just have a couple of different fixed-width slicing blades.

The KitchenAid KFP1333CU 13-Cup Food Processor is also easy to control. With dual speed (high, Low & Pulse speed) options, you can precisely and properly handle soft or hard ingredients with the touch of a button. Tfhis multitasker also has the “soft start” feature when you press the pulse button. This feature means the motor starts slowly and accelerates up to full speed rather than just kicking into high-gear right away. My Cuisinarts food processor only has the on/off/pulse, and a dough speed.

In conclusion, if you want a durable, multitasking food processor (knife set, blender and mixer all in one), the KitchenAid KFP1333CU 13-Cup Food Processor with ExactSlice System is a great choice. It will make for a nice addition to your kitchen. You I couldn’t be happier.

# 2: Cuisinart FP-14DC Food Processor Elite Collection

If you are looking for a Quiet, durable and efficient workhorse, for your kitchen food preparations, The Cuisinart FP-14DC is what you should buy.

Do you want to prepare nut butter? No problem. Do you want to mix and knead dough for bread or biscuit making? No problem. This device can easily cut through the nuts, dough etc. thanks to its powerful motor and durable parts.

The bottom line is that this is a very powerful high performance food processor which easily cuts through most types of food thus allowing you to prepare a lot of things while significantly reducing on the prep time in the kitchen.

It is beautifully designed to look attractive in your kitchen. This nice device gets my number # 2 best food processor award because in the tests it showed that it has the ability to do what is expected of it (slicing, dicing, chopping, pureeing, etc.) quickly and with high efficiency thus giving you more potential to prepare memorable dishes for you or your family.

Has Enough Capacity

The appliance easily accommodates larger ingredients, thus saving on precutting time. In addition, it has small and large chopping blades to handle various food sizes.

The device features three nested bowls, a reversible shredding disc and adjustable slicing disc (8 different options with 2 discs) and a versatile chopping/mixing blade giving you unlimited options to use this machine.

Adjustable Slicing Disc allows for thin to thick slices with 1 to 6mm indicators, while the reversible Shredding Disc provides the option of either fine or medium shredding for optimal results.

The three nested work bowls (14, 11, and 4-1/2 cup) are made of durable polycarbonate material with convenient measurements marking and pour spouts. These bowls feature SealTight technology. This technology maximizes each bowl’s processing capacity, ensures safe handling, and keeps all the ingredients contained in the bowl you’re using! The bowls also have a locking feature to prevent them from coming out of position when pouring, and finger recesses for user-friendliness.

Is this food processor easy to clean?

The device is designed to be easily cleaned. All parts except the housing base are dishwasher safe and it is recommended that you wash them on the top rack only. The housing base may be wiped clean with a soapy, non-abrasive material and dry after cleaning. With extra care to avoid injury from the sharp blades, you can also clean all parts of the device by hand.

However, some customers who have reviewed this device have complained that it is not easy to clean and they give their reasons.

The solution to most reasons given is to clean the gasket and the parts immediately after using the unit. A quick rinse of the gasket and then a tap on the wrist (like a tambourine) to dry it will take care of it every time. Therefore, if you finish all you’re processing, walk immediately over to the sink and give it a good rinse. This way, you will never have a problem.

In conclusion, if you want a food processor that will last many years while giving you dedicated service and happiness in the kitchen. This device carries my highest recommendation.

# 3: Cuisinart DLC-2009CHBMY

When a kitchen appliance attracts over  1,105 customer reviews on its’ sales page and still manages to maintain a rating of 4.6 out of a possible five, that is a sign that there is something right about the product. Well, Cuisinart DLC-2009CHBMY Prep 9 9-Cup Food Processor, Brushed Stainless has managed to achieve exactly that. People are seriously loving this food processor and some of my friends who have read this review have passionately asked me to rank it as the #1 best food processor.

However, I have adamantly refused. I think it deserves to maintain its rank as the third best food processor. My reason for this is because, its locking mechanism is somehow tricky so you need a bit of getting used to it. At the same time, I also find it annoying sometimes how foods often get trapped in between the lids and the blades. Another disadvantage of the Cuisinart-DLC-2009CHB is that chopping is sometimes uneven.

Besides, my above concerns (from years of use), this food processor has served me well. Cuisinart food processors are simply great for your own or for your loved one. In addition its design and style is slick, elegant and it includes great features. The brushed stainless steel housing also makes up for the product’s durability. And another great feature you will love is the fact that the motor is very strong and quiet.
